Excerpt from my grandmother’s travel journal on June 6th, 1981: “Had to back up into a beach road to ‘The Parks’ to get to Sunset Bay State Camp, found site #24 acceptably dry. Herb tried his beer, I just had milk (the salmon from lunch had to swim!) and we had a very nice quiet eve & walk to the beach.”
