Excerpt from my grandmother’s travel journal on April 15th, 1979: “South to Tombstone! For one hour we saw the courthouse and museum, the couple of blocks of stagecoach town with wooden sidewalks and overhangs. Bars & dance halls had a ball with bands and people dancing.”
