from my grandmother’s travel journal on April 27th, 1979:“Along the
wharf we found a surprise – National Park Maritime Museum of old ships
– tied up on one pier. Lady ranger gave us the earphones like in
Carlsbad Caverns and we went through the ‘Thayer’, three-masted schooner
that logged lumber on the West Coast nearly 100 years ago.”
