Columbia State Historic Park in Columbia, California | April 1979 & May 2015
Excerpt
from my grandmother’s travel journal on April 23rd, 1979: “A little
side trip, sat for lunch in a little state park (with three brown buses
& two vans of a religious cult – barefoot, long-haired, in white
long ‘nightgowns’ with wool ponchos) and then walked the old part of
town, with bars, theater, Wells Fargo station, wooden boardwalks under
wooden overhangs, but typical for this part of country – everywhere the
big iron doors!”
