Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah | May 1979 & September 2015
Excerpt from my grandmother’s travel journal on May 23rd, 1979: “We were finished with everything and decided to take the Temple tour – the grounds are freshly planted with petunias in all colors. We cut the tour short because we wanted to hear the organ recital at noon. It lasted ½ hour in the acoustically perfect tabernacle with the gigantic gilded woodpipes. We sat awhile after it on one of the shady benches near the big shell.”
